We're looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our exciting team!

Your Role

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Manager are to support APAC month end closing, system consolidation, business performance analysis, management reporting, budget cycles, decision support, statutory audit and reporting to US HQ. He/she will be key in collaborating with in-country finance, SSC, regional finance functions, commercial teams, IT team, UK and US finance team and other key stakeholders, in finance processes and systems. The Assistant Finance Manager reports to APAC Regional Financial Controller.

Monthly / Quarterly / Annual

  • Collaborate with in-country finance and SSC, to drive month end closing processes
  • In charge of monthly APAC consolidation in HFM
  • Support month end P&L review meetings with in-country finance and to monitor deliverables as per timeline
  • Drive monthly financials deep dive exercises, provide commentary on financial results, and to review and drive quality enhancement of P&L and balance sheet, provide insight to finance and business leaders
  • Identify risk and opportunities on our balance sheet and ensure that risks are being resolved in a timely manner

External Audit

  • Drive APAC group audit and production of consolidated audit accounts
  • Work closely with in-country finance and external auditors to complete the annual financial audit and statutory filing on time, across the region
  • Work closely with tax function and external advisor to ensure that tax computation is obtained in timely manner for on time filing

Processes and systems enhancement

  • Be the champion of the accounting and BI systems for the regional controllership and reporting functions
  • Drive efficient and quality of financial and management reporting function across the region

Management decision support

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Operational Accounting

  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the in-country finance teams, SSC and key stakeholders on accounting matters, to ensure that accounting treatment is consistent across the region
  • Promote process and system initiatives – for example, ongoing shared services utilization, entity integration on existing financial systems, participation in new financial system design and implementation
  • Engage proactively with Treasury, Tax, Legal, IT and other key functions on finance operation and reporting matters
  • Take ownership of challenges and drive collaborative problem solving
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Controls, Processes & Procedures

  • Support implementation and effectiveness of all Corporate and APAC policies. Develop local policies and procedures to supplement the situations of each country and its configuration
  • Support improvement, implantation and effectiveness of internal control


  • Hands on experience in production of consolidated statutory accounts
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a high growth environment with a rapidly changing environment


  • Accounting degree, CA or CPA qualification required
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, of which 5 years in sizeable MNC in operational or corporate finance role
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with big 4 or handling listed company audit with big 4, and minimum 2 years’ experience in supporting financial and management reporting
  • Experience with creating and building analysis to address business needs
  • Hands on knowledge in systems reporting and consolidation
  • Experience with regional finance operations and complex business structure
