Your Role
  • Be a brand ambassador and a team player, able to handle a fast pace demanding environment.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all department policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Ensure that all standards are maintained at a superior level.
  • Manage/organize/facilitate/design/training and development programs for all levels of staff.
  • Conduct training needs analysis, develop and implement department and individual training plans and measure ROI.
  • Facilitate Wharf Hotels mandated training programs.
  • Develop and distribute monthly training calendar.
  • Coordinate trainers needed for various programs utilizing training team and department managers.
  • Identify and support department trainers.
  • Ensure that all management trainees and interns are challenged, appropriately deployed and enjoy, learn and grow within their tenure.
  • Maintain accurate records of participants in each training session.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports and development initiative ideas.
  • Other duties as required in the Human Resources Department.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a hospitality trainer or training manager. Hotel operations experience is desirable, but candidates from other backgrounds are also welcome.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management, Human Resources or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Must be able to perform job with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, prioritize, organize and follow-up, be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment, follow directions thoroughly, understand a guest’s service needs, work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team, work with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced PowerPoint knowledge. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Creative and graphic design ability for presentation development and brand enhancement.
  • Required to speak, read and write English, Cantonese. Mandarin an advantage.
